Last Friday Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker released a new album Beyond the Pale under his new band’s moniker JARV IS…. Only a few days out from the release, Cocker has announced a free live performance of the record tomorrow, July 21 at 3 p.m. EST/12 p.m, PST/8 p.m. BST via YouTube. It’s entitled Beyond the Pale: Live From the Centre of the Earth and will be available for only 24 hours. More

It is timed to the fan campaign to make the protest song (its full uncensored title is "Cunts Are Still Running the World") the #1 song on the UK singles chart on Christmas Day in response to last week's British election results. It's apparently a big deal which song is #1 on the UK singles chart on Christmas Day. A Facebook group has been launched by fans Michael Hall and Darcie Molina to help get a 13-year-old solo protest song by Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, "Running the World," into the #1 spot in response to last week's British election results, in which Boris Johnson's Conservative Party won in a landslide, in large part because of Brexit.
