Despite a stunning stage show that makes many babble, Jónsi made it clear today that he prefers larger settings. In addition to a full-scale tour, the Icelandic musician was scheduled to do a series of in-store performances called “Go Closer.” After a stop at Los Angeles’ Origami Vinyl, the plug was pulled on the idea and the rest of the stops were canceled. AC Entertainment released the still expanding Lineup for MoogFest, the three-day festival, celebrating the innovative vision of sonic pioneer, Robert Moog, will take place Halloween weekend, October 29-31 in Asheville, NC. The MoogFest 2010 weekend kicks off Friday, October 29, with performances by MGMT, Big Boi, Girl Talk, and others. Jónsi, the lead singer of Sigur Rós, released the video for "Animal Arithmetic," his second single off his solo album, Go. The video is a fast-paced montage with mainly tight close-up shots of multiple things including Jónsi, his array of instruments, confetti, and fireworks, perfectly complementing the playful percussion driven sound of the song.
