Los Angeles four-piece Silversun Pickups released their fourth album, Better Natureback in September on their own label, New Machine Recordings. Last September the band shared "Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)" via what they were calling an official audio video, although it was a full on black & white clip of the band performing the song in their rehearsal studio.  More

They posted it on YouTube and are calling it an official audio video, but it's really just a regular video, a black & white clip of the band performing the song in a studio (perhaps they have a more elaborate video for the song also planned for the future?). Silversun Pickups are experiencing the opposite of most bands that share a similar sound. That sound being a wall of distortion, static, and fuzz that is part shoegazer—and in the Silversun's case, part Smashing Pumpkins. Usually the first album is one big, long sound occasionally punctured by a recognizable riff. In contrast, the second album is defined by morsels of hints-at-pop hits—which in the Silversuns case ended up being full-blown smashes.  More
