Sup Pop Auctions Off Rare Items For Kotowicz Family Foundation

Muse, Foo Fighters, Band of Horses, Conan O'Brien, and Rolling Stones Donate

Last month, Sup Pop lost vice president Andy Kotowicz to a tragic car accident. He left behind his wife and baby daughter. Recently Sup Pop bands put together a tribute concert to their fallen friend—but it appears the Kotowicz story was bigger than the Seattle label.Now, non-label heavy hitters, including Muse, Foo Fighters, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, The Dead Weather, and Rolling Stones have contributed to an auction to raise money for the Kotowicz family. Day two of Coachella 2010 alas offered few highlights. This year Coachella has put way too many great artists on Sunday's bill, which will inevitably lead to a lot of Sophie's Choice-like moments of picking between which favorite artists to see. Whereas Saturday's bill suffered from a lack of must see artists, there was no shortage of artists worth checking out, it's just that few of them delivered. Matters were not helped by the fact that the best set I saw was also the first set I saw. Almost everything underwhelmed after that. More
