From the Road Part 1: Big Black Delta’s Jon Bates

O Canada!

Hiya. On our way to Toronto to play our first Canadian show. This has been a whirlwind week for me. Spent some time in London and my timing couldn't have been better. It was sunny and everyone was in a joyous mood. The Olympics are everywhere.

Made a lot of new friends.

My first show in London was too much fun and I hope to return for more before years end. After that, I flew to Philadelphia straight to the venue for our first show with M83. Its good to catch up with everyone, as recent schedules haven't allowed it.

I'm getting to stretch my legs a bit with new songs. Trying them live is a great litmus test.

The band is tight as fuck and I feel blessed. If you're around any of the shows, say sup bra.
