From the Road Part 5: Big Black Delta’s Jon Bates
Feels Like Home
Sep 07, 2012 Big Black Delta
Our first tour is wrapping up and we’re on the west coast.
Feels like home and I love it.
Have gotten to play some crazy venues.
Right on the salt lake in Salt Lake City.
Or in a decommissioned prison in Boise.
Shit’s inspiring. So are all the different types I’ve gotten to meet.
Have a bunch of new music too, so I’ll have plenty to work on when I get home.
The cool thing about touring musicians is everyone has fucked up sleep schedules like I do. So there’s always someone to chat with.
The shitty part is no sleep usually leads to getting sick. Which in confined spaces is like having to take a shit after a shower.
A buddy recommended oregano oil. It’s brutal, but it works. Try it next time you’ve got a cough that won’t go away.
If you live in LA, come down. It’s felt like forever.
Sept. 7th in LA at the Bootleg Theater
push it.
