DJ Cam: Revisited By (Inflamable Records)

Frenchman DJ Cam is having his career fêted by fellow DJs and artists with a collection of his best tracks remixed, or “revisited” by invited guests. Having such able revisiteurs as Thievery Corporation, Kid Loco, DJ Premier, and the late J Dilla makes the party great. The festivities start with two back-to-back versions of Cam’s excellent “Success” and never lets up. The mostly electronic mixes never compromise the laid-back hip-hop vibe but instead celebrate the underappreciated artist whose nonviolent lyrics and inclusive tunes have earned him a loyal following just under the visible surface.
