LCD Soundsystem: Introns (DFA/Capitol)
DFA dude James Murphy’s successful LCD Soundsystem follows its critically
acclaimed and Grammy nominated debut album with an internet-only collection
of B-sides, remixes and live tracks. If you were a fan of the album, you
might want to check out the Soulwax Shibuya Mix of “Daft Punk Is
Playing at My House” or the super-excellent Tiga’s Out of
the Trance Closet Mix of “Tribulations.” Other highlights
include a life Xfm Session cover version of Siouxsie and the Banshees’
“Slowdive” and a snarly and fuzzy version of “Thrills”
that screams “more cowbell!” The set is really for completists,
but it still has all the variety and fun of the full-length. “Yr
city’s a sucker, my city’s a creep!” (www.lcdsoundsystem.com)
