The Flying Change
“Songwriter” MP3
Jul 12, 2010
One year after the release of The Flying Change‘s Pain Is a Reliable Signal, the New York pop-rockers’ debut, Sam Jacobs and co. are changing things up. That shift comes in the form of a new two-track, dancefloor-ready EP dubbed Singer/Songwriter. TFC are currently working on the follow-up to Pain Is a Reliable Signal.
Singer (and uhhh songwriter) Jacobs calls it “a two-song meditation on escapism” and it was produced, engineered, mixed and partially sung by Nancy Hess. “Songwriter” is skittering electro tune about the travails and triumphs of city life. Hess adds some light vocalizations during the catchy chorus. Download the other half of the release, “Singer,” here. Finally, you can download stems of both for remixing purproses at TFCs website.

“Everything Is Gonna Be Alright” MP3
Jul 08, 2010
Tough Alliance co-frontman Eric Berglund released one of the best LPs of the year already (ceo debut White Magic), but he’s not resting on his damn laurels. That LP was regretfully short (under 30 minutes), so Modular let loose a free bonus cut today. The instrumental dance tune is called “Everything Is Gonna Be Alright,” and you can download it above. Those sampled shouts are killer. (Via P4k.)
