The Luyas

“Tiny Head” MP3

Nov 18, 2010

The Luyas are a Montréal quartet that include members of Arcade Fire, both former (multi-instrumentalist Pietro Amato) and current (violinist Sarah Neufeld.) The group is set to release their debut LP on February 22 via Dead Oceans. Download their debut preview track, “Tiny Head.” It’s an entrancing art-pop tune with otherworldy vox and off-kilter beats. Too Beautiful to Work features Owen Pallett playing the violin and arranging the strings and it was recorded by Jeff McMurrich (Tindersticks, Constantines, Owen Pallett). Added bonus: The full-length features a rad twelve-string electric zither called a Moodswinger. Check out upcoming gigs at MySpace.
