M.I.A.‘s new single, “Born Free” is a punk rock anthem with plenty of vitriol to spew at “The Man.” You can stream it right here. (Via Musick.) Example lyric: “I don’t wanna live for tomorrow/ I push my luck today/ I throw this in your face when I see ya/ Cos I got something to say!”

The searing cut is probably off the Sri-Lankan-born-South-London-raised-New York-based star’s as-yet-untitled LP. That’s due June 29 on N.E.E.T./Interscope. Looks like hanging around with co-producers Sleigh Bells has rubbed off on Ms. Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam.
