Boys is a new project from Nora Karlsson of the Swedish psych act Holy. “Ever Before,” Karlsson’s debut single under the Boys moniker, sports tiny drums, blurred guitars, and charmingly blasé vocals that recall the kind of soft-focus garage pop The Strokes and The Legends were creating back in the early 2000s (though Black Tambourine also comes to mind during the track’s fuzzy climax). “Ever Before” will be featured on the forthcoming Kind of Hurt EP, which is set for a September 25 release on PNKSLM.
