Iconic late ‘80s/early ‘90s British band The Stone Roses reformed in 2011 and played some high profile shows in 2012 and 2013, including co-headlining a night at Coachella. Since reforming there has of course been speculation as to whether or not we’d hear any new music from the band. More

Broken Social Scene
The National are headlining a benefit concert called “Welcome to Hamilton” which aims to welcome Syrian refugees coming to Canada. It’s happening June 3 at 6 PM at New Vision United Church at 24 Main St. W in Hamilton, Canada. Kevin Drew from Broken Social Scene is also performing, as is Hayden, Max Kerman of Arkells, Terra Lightfoot, Mother Tareka, and Crystal Journey. More

The Flaming Lips are set to make a guest appearance in issue #6 of X-Men ‘92. The Marvel Comics series takes place in 1992 and in the X-Men ‘90s continuity. The band even appears on the cover of the issue. Metronomy have announced a new album and shared its first single. Summer 08 is due out July 1 and the first single is “Old Skool,” which features scratching from Beastie Boys’ Mix Master Mike. Annie Mac debuted the song on her BBC Radio 1 show today and also interviewed frontman/main creative force Joseph Mount about the new album, which is the follow-up to 2014’s Love Letters. More
