Bloc Party are releasing their brand new album, HYMNS, on January 29, 2016 via Infectious Music/BMG/Vagrant. Previously the British band had shared “The Love Within.” Now the song has a video. It features the members of Bloc Party and some friends dance the night away in a shopping mall after hours. More

DIIV
Back in April DIIV announced that their second album, the somewhat awkwardly titled Is the Is Are, will be coming out this fall via Captured Tracks. Since then there’s been mainly radio silence. Months went by and no songs from the album had been shared and a more exact release date still has yet to be confirmed, putting into question whether it will be a 2015 release after all. More

The National’s frontman Matt Berninger has teamed up with former Menomena member Brent Knopf (who also records as Ramona Falls) for the new project EL VY. The duo just released their great debut album as EL VY, Return to the Moon, last Friday via 4AD. Last night they opened their tour at Portland’s Doug Fir Lounge in what was essentially their first full on live show (beyond some shorter performances). More

Australian experimental musician Kirin J Callinan is releasing his sophomore album sometime next year via Terrible Records.
