OK Go, a band know for their outlandish visuals and high energy, has taken their antics to the next level. Last night at the Webby Awards (where they they were bestowed Film & Video Artist of the Year) the band got involved in an unusual contest with Animal (Yes, the Muppet). On hand to cheer them on was Zach Galifianakis and This American Life’s Ira Glass. We have the video.  More

After the tragic death of their drummer, You Say Party! We Say Die! has released the a statement, announcing a name and line-up change, and a promise of things to come. They will now be known simply as You Say Party and Krista Loewen is leaving the band. We have their full letter.

Levi’s continues to prove they’re down with the kids (no really!) with the newest installment of their Pioneer Sessions where musicians are invited to cover bands that have influenced their sound. Past participants have included Dirty Projectors, She & Him, The Swell Season and The Shins. Latino Review broke the story that Marvel Studios is planning to develop a series of "10-minute short films in front of their feature length movies that will introduce secondary characters like Black Panther, Luke Cage, Dr. Strange, etc." There's also a Dr. Strange movie in the works.

Interpol have premiered on their website the video for "Lights," the first single from their forthcoming self-titled fourth album, which marks their return to Matador Records and is now due September 7 (bumped up a week from September 14). We have the creepy video and it's also available as a free HD download from the band's website. The clip was directed by Los Angeles-based artist Charlie White, who previously helmed Interpol's "Evil" video. They've also announced some new tour dates, which we have too. More
