Fucked Up Wins Polaris Music Prize

Toronto, Ontario's Fucked Up was dubbed the winner of the fourth annual Polaris Music Prize in a gala ceremony held last night at Toronto's Concert Hall at the Masonic Temple. The hardcore group took home a handsome $20,000 check for The Chemistry of Common Life, the Canadian Album of the Year. The hardcore band beat out other capable Canadian artists such as Chad VanGaalen, Great Lake Swimmers, Malajube and Metric. More

Twilight: New Moon Soundtrack Listing Confirmed

The official soundtrack for 2008's Twilight wasn't much to sniff about (kind of like the movie). Only a few scant cuts from blood letters Paramore and Linkin Park littered the tracklisting. Conversely, the marketing blitz for Twilight sequel New Moon has been nothing short of buzz-worthy and downright confusing. The final tracklisting was announced today on Myspace and writer Stephanie Meyer's website and it's just as ripe for hipsterdom's cognitive dissonance as we surmised. More
