MTV Plans Teen Wolf Series

MTV is planning on reviving the 1985 Michael J. Fox film Teen Wolf into a television series with a thrilling edge. Though the basic premise of the movie will be retained, Senior VP to MTV series development Liz Gateley says, "It has more of an American Werewolf in London feel to it. It's a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques." More

This week the Zune L.A. gallery/performance space is hosting the Mewseum, an exhibition of Mew's music videos, including three filmed for their lengthily titled new album, No more stories/Are told today/I'm sorry/They washed away/No more stories/The world is grey/I'm tired/Let's wash away. The three videos are directed by Martin De Thurah and also displayed are photos from the videos. Mew performed a short set Monday night at Zune L.A. to a grouping of fans and industry folk. Grizzly Bear are releasing Veckatimest's second single today. "While You Wait For the Others" is being released on iTunes and as a 7 inch. The B-side is a new version of "While You Wait For the Others" that features the one and only Michael McDonald on lead vocals! McDonald is the '70s and '80s icon who got his start in Steely Dan, was then recruited by The Doobie Brothers in 1975, and had a successful solo career in the '80s with such hits as Yah Mo B There, his 1983 duet with James Ingram. No word on how and why McDonald came to sing on this version of "While You Wait For the Others." More
