Last July, the Danish prog-pop trio Mew posted a strange Video Diary clip, entitled 'Recording in Brooklyn.' Like many of the clips on the band's website, the video pairs band-shot footage with news reel-like audio. In this specific entry a voice discusses the The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which went online last September. Talk of the ominous LHC, string theory and bending temporal space and time is just the type of stuff Mew's music evokes, and the comparison seems all the more appropriate after listening to their new time-warping LP several times over.
