A. Savage (Parquet Courts’ Andrew Savage) Covers The Fall’s “Frightened”
R.I.P. Mark E. Smith
Parquet Courts' frontman Andrew Savage released his debut solo album, Thawing Dawn, under the name A. Savage last October via Dull Tolls. Mark E. Smith, the lead singer and main creative force of prolific post-punk icons The Fall, passed away last month at age 60. Now Savage has shared his cover of The Fall's "Frightened," which he's been playing live lately. The original was opening track on The Fall's debut studio album, 1979's Live at the Witch Trials. Listen to the cover below, followed by the original.
