Academy Award winning director Danny Boyle has announced his next project. Variety reports that Boyle will be following up eight time Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire with 127 Hours, the story of mountaineer Aron Ralston who—after being trapped for five days—amputated his own arm and escaped to safety.
Boyle will be teaming with his Slumdog creative team, writer Simon Beaufoy and producer Christian Colson. 127 Hours is slatted for a late 2010 release.
