On September 28 Alt-J are releasing Reduxer, a new release they are calling a reinterpretation album, which is essentially a radically different remixed version of their last album, Relaxer, which came out in June 2017. Now they have shared another track from the album, “Last Year (feat. GoldLink) (Terrace Martin Version),” via a trippy animated video. As its title suggests, the track features rapper GoldLink and was remixed by Terrace Martin. Jay Kzapa directed the video, which you can watch below.

GoldLink had this to say about the track in a press release: “Alt-J and Terrace Martin are two artists I respect immensely, so I was honored to tell a story with them on this new album of Relaxer remixes.”

Terrace Martin added: “This record is special to me because it truly reflects freedom and what it means to have no boundaries. I actually produced this record in Poland fueled by nothing but a cup full of espresso.”

Reduxer is due out via Canvasback Music/Atlantic. The album features “In Cold Blood (feat. Pusha T) (Twin Shadow Version),” which the band performed in June with Pusha T and Twin Shadow on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and also released as a digital single. Alt-J also previously shared another track from the album, “Deadcrush (feat. Danny Brown) (Alchemist x Trooko Version),” as well as a video for the track that also starred Danny Brown.

Alt-J issued this previous press release statement about the album: “It’s no secret that we love and are influenced by hip-hop, and it’s always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in reimagining our music. With Reduxer that dream has come true. We couldn’t be happier with the results. This album is truly global, featuring rappers and producers from all over the world. After a very long time in the making, we are stoked to share it with you all.”

News is nice.Animated videos are fun, lively, engaging and entertaining. More than anything, they appeal to different generations as they are easily understandable. Animation videos are also immune to language barrier of sorts.
Having said that, if you are looking for an extremely effective way of reaching out to a wide audience, Animation videos are your go to choice.
