For the next chapter in the Amanda Palmer’s artistic saga (a story that has already included conjoined twins, Dresden Dolls, and Radiohead covers among others), she’s taken to the producers’ chair, when a chance encounter with Berklee Tristan Allen blossomed into a full artistic collaboration. Palmer details her first encounter with the young musician and project’s beginnings on her blog, saying, “Tristan doesn’t have any decent recording of his piano music. I thought maybe I’d help him out with this. I know people with studios and pianos in Boston. And I’m home, so why not?

The result of their hard work, Allen’s debut EP a project that nodes to heroes, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Eric Satie, and Yann Tierson. Is available December 12th via Kickstarter. On December 12th the young musician will be taking to the stage at Berklee Performance Center in support of their summer program.
