Animal Collective have announced that they will release a new remix EP titled Monkey Been To Burn Town. Drawing from the band’s most recent studio effort Centipede Hz, the four-track effort features new interpretations by Gang Gang Dance’s Brian Degraw, Chicago Juke producer Traxman and New York underground dance producers Teengirl Fantasy, as well as Seattle based hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces. In addition to the new EP, which will come out digitally and on 12’’ vinyl May 28, the band will soon will be traveling across North America again after illness forced them to cancel dates earlier this spring. Down below you can listen to Gang Gang Dance’s remix of “Monkey Riches,” and view the group’s updated set of tour dates, once again including support by Dan Deacon.
