Arcade Fire Announce Free Montréal Show
Show Taking Place During POP Montreal Music Festival
Arcade Fire have announced that they will be playing a free show in Montréal for the 10th anniversary of POP Montreal International Music Festival. The show will be held at Place des Festivals du Quartier des Spectacles on September 22. SiriusXM Canada is set to broadcast the performance. Arcade Fire have been playing free and surprise shows across their native Canada. In a press release Régine Chassagne remarked, "After having had the chance to tour extensively around the world, we're very excited to finally come home. And to do so the Montréal way, we hoped to play a free outside show, on the very last day of summer as a big 'Thank you' to the beautiful city we love so much." Below watch a video of Arcade Fire performing under the name "Shark Attack." They performed under that moniker last Friday, July 29, at SappyFest in Sackville, New Brunswick, and video shows them playing "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)" and "Rebellion (Lies)."
