Arcade Fire Expand Their Neighborhood to The Suburbs
Third Album Due August 3rd
After some tantalizing teaser clips were released earlier this week, details have emerged regarding Arcade Fire's third full-length, The Suburbs. Due August 3rd on CD and double-LP on Merge Records, pre-orders starting today will be entitled to the immediate gratification of two downloads, title-track "The Suburbs" and "Month of May."
Recorded in Montréal and New York City over the past two years, the record was co-produced by the band and Markus Dravs (Brian Eno, Björk, Coldplay), who also assisted on Neon Bible. Live dates announced thus far include a bevy of European festivals, along with a Chicago Lollapalooza headlining slot and a Toronto date in August.
