Ariel Pink has announced a new album. The follow-up to the acclaimed one-two punch of 2012’s Mature Themes and 2010’s Before Today, pom pom is due out Nov. 18th via 4AD, his third album for the label. Below you can listen to the first single, “Put Your Number In My Phone.” It’s vintage Ariel Pink psych pop, complete with a voicemail interlude.

A double LP, pom pom is 17 tracks and 69 minutes long and described in a press release as Ariel Pink’s “magnum opus.” The record is not credited to his band Haunted Graffiti. “Although this is the first ‘solo’ record credited to my name, it is by far the least ‘solo’ record I have ever recorded,” says Pink in the same press release. Legendary psych producer Kim Fowley collaborated on some tracks, written while Fowley was in the hospital battling cancer.
