Shoegazing duo Asobi Seksu (vocalist Yuki Chikudate and guitarist James Hanna) is set to release a new acoustic album entitled Rewolf. The album is due out November 10th via Polyvinyl and will feature ten acoustic versions of songs from all three of the band’s previous full-lengths, as well as songs that were originally B-sides. Rewolf also features a cover of Hope Sandoval’s “Suzanne.” With the release the band replaces their signature sonic assault and layers of guitars with new arrangements utilizing acoustic instruments.

Rewolf was recorded last year at London’s famed Olympic Studios shortly before the studio was closed down this past February. All sorts of legends have recorded there over the years-The Beatles, The Verve, The Rolling Stones, Björk, David Bowie, Prince, Scott Walker, Suede, Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, U2, Queen, and many others.

Asobi Seksu also just released the Transparence 10”, which features two unreleased tracks.
