Back in December post-hardcore band At the Drive In shared “Governed By Contagions,” their first new song in 16 years and now they have announced their first new album in 17 years and shared another song from it. The album is entitled in • ter a • li • a (which is Latin for “among other things”) and it features both “Governed By Contagions” and the new single “Incurably Innocent.” The album is due out May 5 via Rise Records. Check out a lyric video for “Incurably Innocent” below, followed by the album’s tracklist and the band’s upcoming tour dates.

At the Drive In broke-up in 2001 after the release of 2000’s Relationship of Command. The former members went on to form Mars Volta and Sparta, but At the Drive In reformed in 2012 for some shows and reunited again earlier this year for a world tour (although guitarist Jim Ward is absent this time). The band’s Omar Rodríguez-Lopez produced the new album along with Rich Costey. It was recorded at Hollywood’s Sound Factory.
