Animal Collective member Avey Tare (aka David Michael Portner) is releasing a new solo album, Cows on Hourglass Pond, this Friday (March 22) via Domino. Now he has shared another song from the album, "HORS_," via a video for the song. Portner's sister, Abby Portner, directed the clip, which features psychedelic images of a horse. Watch it below, followed by Avey Tare's upcoming tour dates.

Abby Portner had this to say about the video in a press release: "I grew up with horses, so I wanted to make a video for this song since I first heard it at a show I did with Dave in Copenhagen two years ago. To me this video is just about the beauty of a horse, its movements, expressions, and textures. I lit the horse, Calliope, like she was on a stage, colored lights and haze to take it out of context of a normal stable setting, turn the focus to the horse as a character and make it a bit more surreal. Some of my favorite horse movies are: Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, The Man from Snowy River, National Velvet, Black Beauty, Secretariat, Seabiscuit, The Black Stallion, Phar LapA Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit, Spirit, All Roads Lead Home, Running Free, Misty, Racing Stripes, My Friend Flicka, Two Bits and Pepper."

Previously Avey Tare shared a video for the album's first single, "Saturdays (Again)." Then he shared another song from the album, "Taken Boy."

Cows on Hourglass Pond is the follow-up to 2017's Eucalyptus. Cows on Hourglass Pond was recorded by Portner between January and March 2018 at Laughing Gas in Asheville, NC. It was recorded on a Tascam 48 half-inch reel-to-reel tape machine. Then Portner and Adam McDaniel mixed the album at Drop of Sun in Asheville, NC. Portner's sister, Abby Portner, also directed the "Saturdays (Again)" video.
