Avey Tare Shares New EP, Video for “K.C. Yours,” and Live Video for “Remember Mayan”

Cows on Hourglass Pond and K.C. Yours EP Both Out Now via Domino

Animal Collective member Avey Tare (aka David Michael Portner) released a new solo album, Cows on Hourglass Pond, back in March via Domino. Now he has shared a video for the album’s “K.C. Yours” and a live video for the album’s “Remember Mayan.” He has also released a new EP, also titled K.C. Yours, that includes the title track and three live tracks. Check it all our below.

Black Dice’s Aaron Warren directed the “K.C. Yours” video, using clips filmed by Abigail Portner (Dave Portner’s sister) and Garret Curtis. Abigail Portner and Garret Curtis also filmed the “Remember Mayan” video, which was shot at the Echo in Los Angeles. The EP also includes a live version of “Eyes on Eyes,” also recorded at the Echo, and a live version of “K.C. Yours,” recorded at Antone’s in Austin, TX.

Previously Avey Tare shared a video for Cows on Hourglass Pond‘s first single, “Saturdays (Again).” Then he shared another song from the album, “Taken Boy.” Then he shared another song from the album, “HORS_,” via a video for the song.

Cows on Hourglass Pond is the follow-up to 2017’s Eucalyptus. Cows on Hourglass Pond was recorded by Portner between January and March 2018 at Laughing Gas in Asheville, NC. It was recorded on a Tascam 48 half-inch reel-to-reel tape machine. Then Portner and Adam McDaniel mixed the album at Drop of Sun in Asheville, NC.
