On March 20, Under the Radar will host a free, all-ages SXSW day party that is presented by JanSport. We will be announcing the lineup this week one artist at a time, so that we can highlight each band with info, videos, and links, to familiarize you with, and get you excited about, each artist. We are proud to announce that Avi Buffalo will be joining our SXSW party lineup.

In a previous post, we gave you the basic party details:

Saturday, March 20, 2010 (12PM - 6PM)
Emo’s East Annex (Klub Krutial)
614 E. 6th Street
Austin, TX 78701

They say youth is wasted on the young. They never met Avi Buffalo. Still not old enough to patronize most of the clubs they play, the Long Beach quartet craft sophisticated and sunny pop. The band’s self-titled debut album is due out on Sub Pop in April. Look out for a feature on the band from our forthcoming Winter 2010 issue.

I couldn’t get enough of this show. Avi Buffalo has a great live performance! Many people don’t know about them, but if you do I strongly recommend that you go see them live. It’s an awesome experience that keeps you coming back for more.

I agree with Frank.  Usually live bands leave a lot to be desired but Avi Buffalo rocks the house day in and day out.
