Beady Eye Reveal Artwork, New Details of Sophomore Album, “BE”
Out June 10
Apr 19, 2013 Beady Eye
This June Liam Gallagher’s post-Oasis musical project Beady Eye will release its sophomore album BE. This morning the band revealed the beautifully lit, exposing album art for the record. Shot by photographer Harry Peccinotti, best known for his erotic work and shooting the UK’s famous Pirelli calendar in 1968 and 1969, the cover features Peccinotti’s semi-naked wife lying on her back.
In a released statement Gallagher opened up a bit about the recording of the new album, which was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek. “Working with [him] just opened something up in us,” he says of Sitek, who apparently had the band experiment with cassette tapes, samplers, and iPhone apps. “He’s without a doubt the best producer I’ve ever worked with, a real outlaw – he doesn’t give a fuck, no rules. We had a new found focus when we were writing it – we really got our heads down and got our shit together – clear heads, none of that crap from the ‘90s. It feels like a really special record for us.”
BE is scheduled for release on June 10. (via NME)
