Beck at Work on a Philip Glass Remix LP
Two Turntables and a Microphone Two Turntables and a Microphone Two Turntables and a Microphone Two Turntables and a Microphone Two Turntables and a Microphone Two Turntables and a Microphone...
It’s not that we don’t love Beck’s side projects. (To name a few: Charlotte Gainsbourg, his record club, and Bat For Lashes…or his musical mockery of Matthew Friedberger.) It’s just…are we ever going to get another straight-up Beck album?
While it doesn’t herald a return to his two turntables and a microphone, today the LA troubadour announced he’s producing a Philip Glass remix album. While a release date has yet to be announced, so far the lineup remixers include: ex-Battles frontman Tyondai Braxton, Memory Tapes, Amon Tobin, and Cornelius.

I think the only one who knows if we will ever see another Beck album is him. He is raising a family and staying at home right now and I think that is awesome. I would love to see another album, I think we will, however, If we don’t it’s all good. Honestly, when has he ever done things like evreyone else!
