Belle and Sebastian Movie “God Help The Girl” is Casting

Last month, Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch started hunting for a cast for God Help the Girl—a companion film for the album/side-project of the same name. Despite casting a wide net that gave fans the chance to audition, it looks like fourteen-year-old actress Elle Fanning (Somewhere, We Bought a Zoo, Super 8) may be taking a major role. Other actors in talks include British actor. Olly Alexander.

The film was funded by Kickstarter, netting over $120,000 from fans excited to see the project come to fruition. Filming begins this June.
