Nearly a year after the release of their debut LP Crazy For You, Best Coast have recorded an exclusive iTunes session that is now available on the iTunes Store. The set was recorded in East West Studios, which, according to the Mexican Summer press release, is "the very place where Sinatra recorded 'My Way' & 'Strangers In The Night', The Beach Boys recorded 'Pet Sounds' and the Mamas and the Papas recorded 'California Dreaming.'" This atmosphere inspired pensive, hazy takes on Crazy For You tunes, as well as a Loretta Lynn cover, "First City." You can order the mini-album here. The band will also be performing at festivals this summer, including Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza, as well as supporting The Decemberists on a series of dates.
