Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are one of those band’s that’s never quite lived down the success and acclaim of their debut album, 2001’s B.R.M.C. 2003’s Take Them On, On Your Own (for which they were on the cover of Under the Radar‘s fifth print issue) and 2005’s Howl were both fine albums, but didn’t quite match the visceral impact of their debut, and their last three albums haven’t been quite as well received as the first three. But good on the band for soldiering on and still doing their thing, despite public tastes and trends. Now they are one of the first bands to officially announce a 2018 album. Their seventh full-length, Wrong Creatures, is due out January 12, 2018 (now that’s planning ahead). They have also shared the album’s first single, “Little Thing Gone Wild,” and announced some 2018 tour dates. Below are the single and tour dates, as well as the album’s cover art.

Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Arcade Fire) produced Wrong Creatures. The band’s Robert Levon Been jokingly had this to say in a press release about being survivors and bucking trends: “We are truly an island - come hell or high water, so it’s usually best to dress accordingly. Though I’m not sure what the proper attire is when drowning in fire. But leather usually goes with everything.”

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are partnering with Plus 1 for the tour and $1 from each ticket will be donated to War Child, “a worldwide organization that supports programs aiding women and children dislocated and impacted by war, political unrest, terrorism and poverty.”
