Oct 01, 2013 Blood Orange
For the past number of years musical artist Dev Hynes made a quiet name for himself as a producer and songwriter, playing behind the scenes on the work of a number of high-profile indie artists. Recently gaining significant success working alongside Sky Ferreira and Solange Knowles, Hynes will soon release a new album under his Blood Orange moniker called Cupid Deluxe. Today Hynes has finally provided some concrete details pertaining to the LP, which now set for release on Nov. 18.
The follow-up to Blood Orange’s 2011 debut Coastal Grooves, Cupid Deluxe will feature guest appearances by Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek (who sings on the recently shared track “Chamakay”), Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, Adam Bainbridge of Kindness, Clams Casino, Skepta, and others.
In addition to sharing the record’s tracklist and artwork (pictured), Hynes has also provided a video interview where he discusses the album’s influences, New York City, and his recent production work.
