Blur have announced a new documentary/concert film entitled New World Towers. The film chronicles the making of the band’s long-awaited new album, The Magic Whip, which was released earlier in the year by Warner Bros. and also features performance footage from both a June show in London’s Hyde Park and another concert in Hong Kong. Sam Wrench directed the film, which will screen in the U.K. on December 2nd at select Picturehouse, Odeon, Cineworld, and Vue cinemas in cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Edinburgh. A press release promises that an international release is in the works too and that those dates and plans will be forthcoming. Below you can watch the trailer for the film.
UPDATE: Blur: New World Towers will have its world premiere at CPH:DOX, a documentary film festival based in Copenhagen, on November 5th.
