Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning Announces New Solo Album, “You Gots 2 Chill”
Out Oct. 1
Jul 09, 2013 Broken Social Scene
Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning has announced the release of his second solo album, You Gots 2 Chill, on Oct. 1. To be distributed via SQE and Canning’s own newly created Draper Street Records, the new LP was recorded in the BSS co-founder’s Toronto home without the assistance of anyone from the Canadian musical collective, resulting in something much different from his guest-list-stacked debut Something For All of Us released back in 2008. Coinciding with the record’s announcement Canning has provided a free download of the record’s opening track “Plugged In.” Click below to listen.
