Broken Social Scene's co-founder Kevin Drew has announced the release of his second solo album, Darlings. Due out March 18 on Arts & Crafts, the new record follows Drew's previous solo effort, 2007's Spirit If...

Darlings includes a number of guest contributors, including fellow Broken Social Scene members Charles Spearin and Ohad Benchetrit, The Stills' Dave Hamelin, and Apostle of Hustle's Dean Stone. "This record is a celebration of memories," writes Drew. "It’s about the rise and fall of love and sex, in my own life and in today’s society. This topic has been with me for years. I approached it focused purely on the songwriting, leaving all the tricks and explosions behind. I hope you like it... and if you don't, give to someone who will."
