Califone Announces New Album, “Stitches”
Out Sept. 3
Jun 13, 2013 Califone
Chicago experimental rock band Califone have announced the release of a new album titled, Stitches. The follow-up to the band’s 2009 LP All of My Friends Are Funeral Singers the new record was recorded in studios across L.A., Austin, and Phoenix with a number of guest musicians.
In a statement frontman Tim Rutili says “We treated each song as its own particular planet. Bringing in different people and recording in different places helped bring some tension to the whole thing. I wanted this to be a more schizophrenic record, stitching together conflicting textures and feels. It was a much more solitary process, and that freed me up to feel less self-conscious about singing and writing more personal lyrics. I tried to keep the songs visual and poetic, but it was more important to allow myself to feel and be vulnerable and not hide in the music. Instead of writing from my balls and brain, this time I wrote from the nerves, skin, and heart.”
Coinciding with the album’s announcement the band has shared the record’s droning title track.

Pleased meet up with you may! I’m Preston and she doesn’t adore it at all.
My family lives in Nebraska. Taking care of animals is his profession but
he’s always wanted his own business. What he
really enjoys doing is golf and he’ll be starting something
else along from it. I’m not competent at webdesign however, you
