Chairlift
Chairlift frontwoman Caroline Polachek has announced the release of her debut solo album, Arcadia. Performed under the moniker Ramona Lisa, the new LP will be distributed April 15 via Terrible in the U.S., April 14 via Pannonica in Europe/Japan, and April 14 via Mistletone in Australia/New Zealand. Recorded in an empty studio in Rome Villa Medici and made entirely on a laptop without instruments or any external microphones, with many of the vocals recorded “hotel closets, quiet airport gates, and spare dressing rooms,” Polacheck in a press release describes the material as “Pastoral Electronic Music.”
