Charli XCX Wrote A Song For Britney Spears

To Be Considered For Pop Star's New LP

Having already penned one of the biggest tracks on the Top 40 charts with Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” Charli XCX, a.k.a. Charlotte Aitchison, revealed she was recently approached to write a song for Britney Spears’ next album. In an interview with Digital Spy during the Reading Festival Aitchison says, “I’ve been doing some writing for the Britney record. I was freaking out. I didn’t even want to go to the session I was so excited. I was so worried I would fuck it up. I was doing some stuff for that yesterday actually. Who knows how it will go. We’ve written one song and it’s a great track and if she likes it then amazing. It was just an honor to be asked.”

Currently on the road supporting her debut album True Romance, Charli XCX recently postponed her upcoming North American tour to perform as an opener for Paramore in the UK.
