Johnny Jewel has announced a new album, Windswept, and shared a video for its title track. Windswept is due out next Wednesday, May 10, via Jewel's Italians Do It Better label. It features unreleased music from Jewel and his bands Chromatics and Desire, as well as collaborations with Glass Candy, Heaven, and Symmetry. The album also features music from Showtime's return of Twin Peaks. Chromatics directed the atmospheric "Windswept" video, which you can watch below, followed by the album's tracklist. That's the cover art above.

Chromatics were supposed to release a new full-length album, Dear Tommy, in 2015 (it was announced in December 2014). Despite several songs from the album being released, the album never saw the light of day, continually being promised as coming soon. Jewel's manager, Alexis Rivera, revealed yesterday in a series of tweets that Jewel had a near-death experience in Hawaii on Christmas Day 2015 and afterwards he destroyed all copies of Dear Tommy in order to re-record it to better capture the sound he was going for.
