Coldplay were due to play in Houston last Friday, but cancelled their show due to Hurricane Harvey, which has since wrecked havoc on the Texas city, causing widespread flooding. So last night at their show at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium the band performed a brand new song, “Houston #1,” which they dedicated to the people of Houston and everyone else affected by the storm and the flooding. Frontman Chris Martin announced that they would never play the song again, it was a once-off performance. But the band has posted professionally filmed video of the performance, which you can watch below. It’s a bit of a country song.
Coldplay released their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, back in December 2015 via Parlophone/Atlantic and released a new EP, Kaleidoscope EP, back in July, also via Parlophone/Atlantic.
