Conan O’Brien Plays Tunes at Third Man Records, Presses Live Album
…And Still Funnier Than Leno!
After an the teaser video and an obtuse Twitter promise of an "event" at Third Man Records, Conan O'Brien delivered the goods, playing a straight up rock show with buddy Jack White. Highlights included songs fine-tuned on tour, including Radiohead cover "Creep," and Eddie Cochran's "Twenty Flight Rock."
Missed the show? In a move that's sure to make fledgling hipsters and comedians alike jealous, the live performance will be pressed into vinyl. Yes, the usurped king of late night now has a rock record. Your move Leno.
Update: We just received a press release about last night’s festivities. While there will be a limited black and blue version of last night’s LP for fans present at the event a regular edition will soon be available via Third Man Records. In addition to the previously mentioned highlights, the pressing will also include and instrumental cover version of White Stripes hit, “7 Nation Army." In addition to rocking out, it also appears that our favorite redhead has also recorded a spoken word Green Series 7” to be released by Third Man in the near future.
