Fresh off last month's Omaha benefit Concert for Equality, organized in opposition to a proposed anti-illegal immigration bill in Nebraska featuring his bands Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos, Conor Oberst has lined up a short solo tour of California. He'll be supported by The Felice Brothers on most of the dates, who will also serve as his backing band. They have a history of collaborations, as along with being on Oberst's Team Love label, the upstate New York act also opened a few Bright Eyes shows on the Cassadaga tour in 2007, and could be seen jumping on stage to guest on a few numbers. Perhaps Oberst will be debuting some Bright Eyes material from the album tentatively slated for release sometime in 2011, which is said to be their final release. Full dates are below.
Conor Oberst:
09-28 Pioneertown, CA - Pappy & Harriet's *
09-30 Santa Barbara, CA - Soho *
10-01 Big Sur, CA - Fernwood *
10-02 San Francisco, CA - Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
* with The Felice Brothers
