Ontario-based troubadour Dan Edmonds has shared a video for his latest track, "two thirds of a fifth" off of his forthcoming album Softie, due out November 22, and we are pleased to premiere it. The video features a grainy photograph of Edmonds in a field as it warps, dissolves, and blends in a variety of ways. The track is a strutting piece of funk-pop blending wavy flutes, vintage synths, and a fuzzed out bass lick, with warmly plodding drums and flanged out vocals that slowly builds and accretes more layers. Check out the video as well as tracklist below.

On the making of the track Edmonds had this to say: "The song is an internal dialogue. It's about trying to overcome anxiety with compassion. I wrote that song the night before our first session at Palace Sound. We recorded it the first day, and it hasn't really changed since then."

The album follows Edmonds' 2016 debut solo album Ladies on the Corner, and features co-production by Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck and Alvvays.
