David Lynch Returns to “Twin Peaks” ... Again
To Co-Write and Direct Upcoming Series
Earlier this spring David Lynch broke the hearts of his Twin Peaks legion when he announced his sudden departure from the show's long-wished-for revival. Apparently settling the financial dispute that caused his exit, Lynch returned to social media over the weekend to say that he is once again part of the project, writing, "The rumors are not what they seem ..... It is!!! Happening again."
In addition to Lynch's return as co-writer and director, Indiewire reports that the show will also be expanded from its original nine-episode run. "This damn fine cup of coffee from Mark and David tastes more delicious than ever," Showtime president David Nevins told the site, referencing protagonist Dale Cooper's signature phrase. "[It was] totally worth the extra brewing time and the cup is even bigger than we expected." The Twin Peaks revival is currently in pre-production.
Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!! Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network
