Dean & Britta to Play Galaxie 500 Set on Tour

Fall shows scheduled. Highly unlikely that Damon & Naomi will attend.

A proper Galaxie 500 reunion is highly implausible, given the fact that the three original members haven’t been in the same room together since their acrimonious dissolution nearly 20 years ago. However, the next best thing is probably Galaxie frontman Dean Wareham playing the group’s canonized oeuvre in some incarnation, and that’s about to happen this fall, as he hits the road with wife Britta Phillips. Dean & Britta will tour the U.S. with a band in tow and the shows will include a set of Galaxie 500 songs. We have the dates announced thus far below.

8/19 - New York, NY - The Bowery Ballroom

8/20 - Philadelphia, PA - The Trocadero

9/16-17 - Atlanta, GA - The Earl

11/11 - Los Angeles, CA - The Troubadour

11/13 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore

12/3 - Chicago, IL - Lincoln Hall
